Report: Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will sport Snapdragon 750G Chipset

Samsung released the Galaxy A42 5G as its cheapest 5G smartphone earlier this month. Samsung revealed its main specifications, prices, and availability at that time. But, the company didn’t mention the processor information of this device.

According to a recent report of dealntech, the model number of the Galaxy A42 5G should be SM-A426B as mentioned in the screenshot. The screenshot also shows that the chipset powering the Galaxy A42 5G uses an eight-core design, including two cores clocked at 2.21 GHz and six cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. Also, this SoC also integrates the Adreno 619 graphics chip.

The previous speculation claimed that the Galaxy A42 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 690 5G chip. However, the configuration of the processor core and CPU appearing on the running sub-platform matches the newly released Snapdragon 750G chip.

The phone is equipped with a 6.6-inch S-AMOLED display, supports FHD+ resolution, and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A42 5G is priced at 369 Euros, or about 2,928 yuan, and is scheduled to be launched in Europe in November.
