The latest One UI 3.0 issue is related to the Genie Music app, which is one of the most used South Korean music streaming services. It’s reported that the app is not allowing users to login via phone number and prompts ‘Phone Number Login’ impossible whenever they try to do so.

Samsung has acknowledged this issue and confirmed that it is being revised by the Genie Music developers and will be updated through the market before the stable One UI 3.0 (Android 11) release for general users.

It’s adviced to log in through the following Genie account until it is modified.
  • If you have an existing Genie account, use the ‘Genie App> Login> Find ID/Password’
  • If you do not have an existing Genie account or use only a phone number login, you will be guided after ‘member registration’.

If you need detailed information regarding the use of the Genie service, please contact the Genie Customer Center (1577-5337). (Only for Korean Users)
