How to install One UI 3.0 beta without harming your Samsung Galaxy device
One UI 3.0 is currently under testing for Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series devices. These device users in eligible countries can participate in the beta program to test One UI 3.0 ahead of stable release.
One UI 3.0 is based on Android 11 and it comes with new visual redesign for most visited UI parts such as Home screen and quick panel. To reduce distractions, the new interface highlights important information, and make your user experience better.
The new version of One UI also comes with improved security and privacy controls including one-time permissions, enhanced digital wellbeing and more.

But, before you jump into the beta installation part, you need to know some important information that can prevent you from harming the software system of your Samsung Galaxy device.
Below you can find a complete list of important procedure that you should take before upgrading to One UI 3.0 beta.
Back up important Data
Backing up your data is the top priority and it’s recommended that you back up your data to your computer using Samsung’s Smart Switch application. This is because the Beta software unexpected in behaviour and can cause data loss.
Update all of your applications:
Before installing the beta software, make sure all applications on the device are updated to the latest version to avoid compatibility issues.
Use WiFi for download
You should always opt to download software updates over a WiFi network over a cellular network. This prevents your data plan consumption and provides you stable connectivity.

Settings > Software update > Download updates manually
Keep you phone charged
Make sure your phone is sufficiently charged or plug-in your smartphone to a charger, so you don’t have power shortage during the installation, which could brick your smartphone.
At the time of installation:
Do not try to interact with your smartphone or try to turn it off during installation.
Installation takes some time:
Major updates takes time to install and One UI 3.0 beta likely to take minutes to install on your device. So be patient.
After installation:
Once, One UI 3.0 beta installed, your device will reboot and optimize the applications. Give the device time for optimization and wait atleast 5 minutes then unlock.
Update applications:
First, open Galaxy Store and then updates section to check for latest application updates. If any update is available, initiate update process. Do same with the Play Store.
