Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 receiving lots of new features with a new update

Samsung started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The latest update comes with build version R835FXXU1BTJ1 and installs exciting new features for the smart wearable.

It brings advanced running analysis that can improve your running form. The added VO2max feature lets you check the maximum amount of oxygen during exercise to increase your stamina.

The latest firmware update adds the Detect Falls function that allows the Galaxy Watch to send SOS calls and messages to an emergency contact when the smartwatch detects a fall.

Adding to this the added AR Emoji feature enhanced to let you send AR Emoji and Bitmoji via your Galaxy watch.

  • AR Emoji/Bitmoji : Send AR Emoji and Bitmoji through the watch.
  • Capture : Supports scroll capture feature that automatically sends the screen-capture image to the phone.

FOLLOW THE STEPS TO UPDATE WATCH SOFTWARE USING THE PHONE

  • Launch Galaxy Wearable app.
  • Tap on Home > Watches software update.
  • Tap on Download and install.
  • Tap on Install now if an update is available.
