Apple recently launched new macs in the ‘One More Thing’ event held on November 10. The company released a couple of new macs including Mac Mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro along with the macOS BigSur. All of these new macs were unveiled with Apple’s self-made Silicon M1 chip.

According to the news coming from South Korean media claims, the busy schedule of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) could bring the production of these M1 chips to the South Korean tech giant, Samsung.

Apple’s M1 chips require 25 percent of 5nm production capacity that is not possible for TSMC to complete, as the company already shifted most of its 5nm capacity for the A14 Bionic chips. Now it is expected that Samsung will be producing these chips for Apple.

It has been 5 years since Apple did not approach Samsung for producing chips. At first, the iPhone chips were produced by both TSMC and Samsung before Apple shifted it all to TSMC in the year 2015. Since then TSMC has been producing chips for the company.
