International units of Samsung Galaxy S21 could be more power efficient than the US variants
Yesterday, we’ve reported about the benchmark listing of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21+ device. The Snapdragon 875 powered smartphone has obtained higher points in comparison to the previously tested Exynos 2100 variant.
However, the benchmark result of the Exynos variant was nearly two months older than the recently listed Snapdragon model. Now, a new leaked benchmark result alleges that Samsung’s upcoming flagship processor, Exynos 2100 will beat Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 SoC.
Both, Samsung’s Exynos 2100 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 chipsets will be manufactured using the 5nm process technology. It is also expected that each processor follows the same architecture, including one ARM Cortex-X1 core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores.

Adding to this, both of the chips will be clocked differently and a reliable source, @UniverseIce claimed that Exynos 2100’s Cortex-X1 core will have a maximum frequency of 2.91Ghz.
It’s three Cortex-A78 cores will have a frequency of 2.81Ghz, and the four Cortex-A55 cores will be clocked at 2.21Ghz while the Snapdragon 875’s Cortex-A78 cores will be clocked at 2.42Ghz and Cortex-A55 cores will offer clock speeds of up to 1.8Ghz.
Moreover, @MaxWeinbach said that Exynos 2100 has a better energy efficiency ratio than previous generations of chips, so there may not be a need to worry about it will consume more power than the upcoming Snapdragon 875.
Leakster UniverseIce further claimed that the Exynos 2100 got more than 4000 points in the multi-core test while yesterday’s tested Snapdragon 875 received 3319.
It seems like the South Korean tech giant has made remarkable significant improvements to its Exynos 2100 SoC which can help Samsung’s Exynos chipset to leave Snapdragon behind for the first time.
