Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its first clamshell design foldable phone, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, which folds vertically and introduced alongside the Galaxy S20 Series at Unpacked 2020.

However this year, Samsung seems to have different plans for the successor of Galaxy Z Flip. According to the Korean media TheElec, Samsung’s upcoming S-series flagship, Galaxy S21 will launch early next in 2021 but the Galaxy Z Flip 2 won’t company the S21 series.

Instead of launching alongside, Galaxy S21, the Galaxy Z Flip 2 likely will select a launch date somewhere in the first half of 2021.

The previous report suggested that Samsung has planned to launch the Galaxy S21 earlier than its traditional launch dates. Samsung has already started the mass production of the Galaxy S21 series and could release as early as January.
