Following yesterday’s report, the One UI 3.0 beta was supposed to begin today. According to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices have again started getting the One UI 3.0 beta build in South Korea. The initial beta rollout was suspended due to critical issues founded with the lock screen on these devices. Users can now install the One UI 3.0 beta update on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices in the country.

The One UI 3.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 was halted due to a lock screen bug. According to the beta operation manager, the hotfix version of One UI 3.0 beta is currently being carefully verified and will resume from tomorrow. (Samsung Community)

[Update 1: Beta Halted]

Shortly after starting the One UI 3.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Korea, Samsung has found the Lock Screen bug, which leaves the users locked on the lock screen. Last week, we’ve informed that Samsung will resume the One UI 3.0 beta rollout for the remaining eligible device including the Galaxy Note 10, S10, Z Fold 2, and Z Flip. And now the company has started the beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold devices in South Korea.

Previously, Samsung has stopped sending One UI 3.0 beta build for the remaining eligible devices due to multiple issues regarding critical battery draining and phone overheating for the Galaxy Note 10 series devices.

The South Korean tech giant has already resumed the One UI 3.0 beta program for the Galaxy Z Flip LTE and also for the Galaxy Note 10 devices in South Korea. Later this One UI beta was also available for the Galaxy Note 10 smartphones in India. And now the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is also added for getting One UI 3.0 beta.

Android 11 based One UI 3.0 installs brand new user interface including the Home screen and quick panel. It also brings performance improvements to open apps quicker while spending less power on the tasks.
