December 2020 security patch hits Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10 Plus, and Z Fold 2
After the Galaxy S9, S9+, Galaxy S20 FE, and XCover 4, Samsung is now improving the security of its some more flagship devices. The Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 have started grabbing the latest One UI security patches released in December 2020.
However, the South Korean tech giant didn’t publish the security bulletin for December 2020, it is early to state about the fixed exploits and CVEs. The company will release the security patch details in the coming days.
As every new software update comes with system improvements, this update also enhances the system functions to increase the user experience. The system features of devices will also be purified to perform better than before.

This update for the Galaxy Note 10 series comes with build versions: N970FXXS6DTK8 and N975FXXS6DTK8 for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ respectively. Starting from France, it is currently rolling out in several European regions including Germany, Poland, Romania, and Italy.
Adding to this, the second-generation foldable device, Galaxy Z Fold 2 also gets the December 2020 security patch with firmware version F916BXXS1BTK1 in Germany.
However, we’ve reported about the official roadmap of the Android 11/One UI 3.0 update. The schedule reveals that the Galaxy Note 10 series and Galaxy Z Fold 2 units will start receiving the One UI 3.0 update starting January next year.

Meanwhile, Samsung has opened One UI 3.0 beta testing for the Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Z Fold 2 devices for the owners of South Korea, India, and UK. The company is yet to announce and start One UI 3.0 beta testing for the users of the US, Germany, Poland, and China.
After the completion of the One UI 3.0 beta trial, the South Korea tech giant will start providing Android 11 and One UI 3.0 update for these model owners who are currently running on Android 10 based One UI 2.5.
Like every beta trial, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Z Fold 2 owners also face different kinds of bugs and issues with the One UI 3.0 beta.
Samsung One UI 3.0 adds new changes to the user interface such as the rebranded Home screen and quick panel as well as the Settings menu. You can also notice the performance improvements while opening apps and it spent less power on the tasks.
