Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets December 2020 security patch [Sprint]

Samsung has already started to roll out December 2020 security patch for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices and now, these devices are getting the latest security patch with some system improvements in the US.

According to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 phones locked on Sprint are now grabbing the December 2020 security patch. This update boosts the security of the second-generation foldable smartphones of Samsung to keep secure against different levels of threats and CVEs.

In addition, the latest firmware update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with system stability improvements and some bug fixes for a better user experience. Moreover, it also enhances the system functions to increase the performance of various features.

If you’re also using a Sprint bounded Galaxy Z Fold 2 device in the US, then check for the latest software updates manually by heading to the device’s Settings, then find the Software updates option then click on it. Finally hit the Download and install button to update your device to the build version: F916USQS1BTK5.

What about the Android 11/One UI 3.0 update:

The South Korean tech giant has already started One UI 3.0 beta testing for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices in its home country. Samsung One UI 3.0 beta program is a way to start experiencing the exciting new features of the One UI 3.0 before its public release. Adding to this, the company has just provided the second One UI 3.0 beta build which fixes several bugs regarding its system software.

Aside from the beta testing, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will get the stable Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update starting January next year. So we can expect that the Sprint locked Galaxy Z Fold 2 may also receive the stable One UI 3.0 update in January 2021.
