Samsung releases December 2020 security update for Galaxy Note 20 in Canada

Just recently we’ve reported that Samsung and Telus will start rolling out Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy S20 series smartphones in Canada. Meanwhile, the company is also providing regular security patch updates for other Galaxy devices that are waiting to receive the latest One UI 3.0 update.

According to the information, Samsung has begun sending new firmware update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. It comes with the latest December 2020 security patch to improve the security and keep the device secure against different levels of exploits and threats.

Other than the security improvements, this software update for the Galaxy Note 20 models also enhances the system functions to increase the performance of system features and fixes some bugs for a better user experience.

The latest December 2020 security patch is ready to install on your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra in Canada. You can identify these software updates with version numbers: N981WVLS1ATK2 for Galaxy Note 20 and N986WVLS1ATK2 for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra respectively.

What about Android 11/One UI 3.0?

Samsung Galaxy S20 series devices have already started getting the latest One UI 3.0 update globally, and the Galaxy Note 20 units will be the second to receive the latest features with the One UI 3.0 update. As per the One UI 3.0 update schedule. the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will receive the Android 11 upgrade within this month.
