AT&T releases Android 11/One UI 3.0 for Samsung Galaxy S20 series

Yesterday, we’ve reported some security updates that were started to rollout by AT&T for different Samsung devices in the US, and now, the carrier has begun sending a major Android upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S20 series phones.

According to the latest info, AT&T pushed Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update for Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra in the US. The latest One UI 3.0 brings numerous new features, major changes for the user interface, improved security, and much more.

  • G986USQU1CTKH – Galaxy S20+ 5G
  • G988USQU1CTKH – Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

In addition, starting this month, another major carrier of the US, Verizon has opened the stable Android 11 software update for the Galaxy S20 series. Later on, Samsung began providing the One UI 3.0 update for the unlocked Galaxy S20 series globally.

After the Galaxy S20 units, the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update will be available for the Galaxy Note 20 phones in the coming days. Following this, it will be rollout for older flagships such as Galaxy S10, and Note 10 devices.

Samsung One UI 3.0 brings new changes in the UI of the lock screen, home screen, notifications, and quick panel. It enhances the user experience to help them focus on what matters most. Once you update to One UI 3.0, you will get a smoother experience while using your device.

However, this update will be distributed in different batches. So if the latest Android 11 update doesn’t arrive on your Galaxy S20 smartphone, wait for a bit longer.

What about T-Mobile Galaxy S20 devices?

T-Mobile has approved the Android 11 builds for Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra devices. Following the approval, the carrier will start releasing the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 version via OTA from this week.

How to check for updates:

If you also own an AT&T locked Galaxy S20 series smartphone then check for the latest update notification or check for updates manually by opening the device’ Settings, scroll down and select Software updates, and tap on Download and install.
