Samsung and Grover started smartphone rental program in Germany

Samsung Germany has announced a partnership with GmbH and Grover to rent electronic products. Customers can now rent selected smartphones from the Galaxy S20 series on a monthly basis through the Samsung online shop in Grover.

The new rental option replaces existing purchases and funding offers in the Samsung online shop and completes value-added services such as the “Samsung upgrade” program.

This service is based on the principle of asset-service, which attracts customers who prefer demand-based access to the technology above the property. Processing is done by Berlin Tech subscription specialist Grover, whose rental offer has been merged into a new service option in the Samsung online shop.

The rental service operated by Grover runs between the payment option and the value-added service, completing existing services such as ‘Trade-in’, ‘Samsung Care+’ and the ‘Samsung Upgrade’ program, which Samsung wants to offer customers in addition.

All the information about the rental service is listed on a website in the Samsung online store. The rental offer starts with select smartphones from the Galaxy S20 series, which will gradually expand to other product segments.

Once the model, color, connectivity, and storage capacity are selected, the ‘Rent’ option is displayed as a service option. As soon as the customer selects the rental service, they can click on the ‘Next’ button and go to Grover’s own checkout and go to ‘Samsung provided by Grove'” and select the minimum rental period (1, 3, 6 or 12 months) and payment.

The record can be terminated quickly, easily, and directly with Grover without deposit. Grover’s ‘Grover Care’ facilities are included in the monthly rental, which applies when 90 percent of the cost of repairs is lost.

At the end of the minimum rental period, the product can be returned, rented, or redeemed for free.
