Samsung Galaxy S20 FE on One UI 2.5 getting December security update [Sprint]

Samsung One UI 3.0 is now live for carrier locked Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series smartphones in the US, while, the other Samsung devices have to wait a little longer to get this major upgrade. In the meantime, carriers have not forgotten sending system security improvements for various Samsung smartphones.

According to the information, Sprint has started rolling out a new firmware update to Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in the US. It installs the December 2020 security patch for better device security.

Aside from the latest security patch, this update also brings improvements to system stability as well as fixes for some bugs to enhance the user experience.

T-Mobile to shutdown Sprint by 2022!

In April 2020, two different network service providers of the US, T-Mobile, and Sprint got merged, and then Sprint became a subsidiary of T-Mobile. Recently, the CEO of T-Mobile, said that the company will begin the shutdown process of Sprint as soon as at the start of 2022.

Android 11/One UI 3.0:

As per the official One UI 3.0 update roadmap of Samsung, the Galaxy S20 FE will start grabbing Android 11 updates starting January 2021. While the US carriers haven’t released the update schedule for their locked Samsung Galaxy devices.
