Samsung’s latest Exynos SoC will go official on January 12, 2021

After a long session of leaks and rumors of Samsung‘s latest flagship chipset – Exynos 2100, the company has finally brought us an official confirmation of the launch date of this processor.

As per the previous reports, Samsung has all set to launch the latest flagship smartphones under its Galaxy S series. This series will get three new members which will be named – Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Galaxy S21 series will be launched on January 14, next year. In the meantime, Samsung wants to expose the latest Exynos processor that is equipped with the Galaxy S21 models.

According to the official information, Samsung’s newer Exynos SoC will be officially launched on January 12, 2021. The company has posted a teaser from its official Samsung Exynos Twitter handle, and the teaser ends with “Exynos is back”.

However the company has not detailed the name or specs of the upcoming processor, we can surely expect that it will be Exynos 2100 that has surfaced numerous times online.

Samsung Exynos 2100 is expected to have a Cortex-X1 CPU core, three Cortex-A78 cores, four Cortex-A55 CPU Cores, and the Mali-G78 GPU. Besides, an earlier leak suggests that the South Korean tech giant has used the older 7nm process technology to build the newer Exynos chipset instead of the latest 5nm process.

Furthermore, Samsung has also launched the Exynos 1080 5G processor that will be used for mid-range smartphones. This chipset has built on a 5-nanometer process to manage performance-intensive tasks with ease.
