Galaxy A22 5G might become the cheapest 5G smartphone of Samsung

As we know, Samsung is going to unveil its latest Galaxy S21 series flagships in mid-January next year. The company will launch three new phones – Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. Meanwhile, Samsung is not only planning for premium smartphones but also working on mid-range and budget devices to capture the smartphone market.

However, we’ve already witnessed several leaks and renders of the Galaxy A72, A52, and A32 which indicates that these devices will also hit the market in early next year. New information indicates that the South Korean tech giant is preparing to launch a cheaper 5G smartphone in the South East Asian countries including India.

According to the info, this budget 5G smartphone from Samsung will be named – Galaxy A22 5G which could be launched in the second half of 2021 with an expected price of $180 (200,000 won).

As per the report, Samsung has chosen the joint development and production (JDM) method to secure price competitiveness but the design, product development, and production tasks will be outsourced to a different brand.
