Samsung Galaxy A52 5G to come with IP67 rating for dust and water resistance

Samsung is preparing to unveil two new smartphones in its Galaxy A series that will deliver premium features at a lesser price. It is expected that the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 will be launched later next month. Ahead of the official confirmation, a well-known tipster published an official press render of the Galaxy A52 5G.

The recently leaked official press render of the Galaxy A52 5G confirms that the device will be water-resistant. Aside from this leaked info, a YouTuber has also claimed that this device comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

IP67 rating:

The IP rating is mostly used to show how a product is protected while a solid or liquid entering the product. On the other hand, “6” indicates the sensor is completely protected against solid objects from entering the sensor while the “7” means, the sensor can be completely immersed in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes before the moisture penetrates the housing.

Samsung Galaxy A52 Specifications [Expected]:

As per the previous reports, the Galaxy A52 sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with up to 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Korean tech giant will ship this smartphone with pre-installed Android 11-based One UI 3.x.

In the camera department, the Galaxy A52 features a quad rear camera setup including a 64MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP depth sensor, and 5MP macro camera as well as a 32MP front camera for selfies.

Moreover, the 4G version will be powered by Snapdragon 720G processor supported by 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage options. Apart from this, it equips a 4500mAh battery that can be charged by up to a 25W fast charger.

Aside from the 4G variant, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G to be powered by a Snapdragon 750G processor at a starting price of $475. Meanwhile, the design and specifications except for the processor will be similar to the Galaxy A52 LTE. It is rumored to be launch in the last week of March 2021 in Vietnam with a starting price of $400.
