Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will be launched in South Korea on March 12

Samsung announced that it is going to launch a new 5G smartphone in South Korea. As per the info, the company will unveil the Galaxy A42 5G on March 12 with a price tag of 400,000 won. However, this device was already launched outside Korea back in September 2020.

The Galaxy A42 5G sports a 6.6″ Infinity-U display to deliver users a more immersive gaming and video streaming experience. On the back, it has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel depth lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, it features a 20-megapixel camera on the front.

Under the hood, it equips Snapdragon 750G/MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor as it already unveiled in some markets. However, the Korean tech giant has not yet confirmed the chipset of the Korean variant. Moreover, the storage options of the Galaxy A42 still unconfirmed, we’ve to wait for its official launch.

Apart from this, Samsung confirmed the Galaxy A42 5G equipped with a 5,000mAh large-capacity battery and can be recharged with a 15W fast charger. It will be available in three unique color options including Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray.

Ahead of its launch, the company will pre-sale the Galaxy A42 5G on the official Samsung website from 8th to 11th March, in some open markets such as Coupang, Gmarket, and 11th Street, and online malls of mobile carriers. Furthermore, consumers can also grab up to 20% discount through some open markets.

Samsung will provide a 50% discount coupon for wireless earphones Galaxy Buzz Live to customers who purchase the Galaxy A42 5G until March 31st. Besides, a two-month free trial of premium video streaming membership YouTube Premium and a two-month free subscription to the reading platform Milli’s Study e-book to all customers who purchase Galaxy A42 5G.
