AT&T releases One UI 3.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 20, S20, and Z Fold 2 5G

Introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series comes with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box. It is an upgraded version of the 3.0 iteration of the One UI and brings few exciting new features and smart camera functions for enhanced user experience.

Now, as per the latest info, AT&T pushed new software updates for the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G in the US. However, the carrier has already delivered the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 version to these devices, the new update brings the latest One UI 3.1 changes.

Samsung One UI 3.1 lets users shoot dynamic photos and videos with new smart camera features including improved Single Take, touch autofocus, autoexposure controller, Object eraser tool, and Multi Mic Recording. Moreover, it also allows you to extend your Galaxy device to your desktop PC using Samsung’s Wireless DeX.

On the other hand, One UI 3.1’s Eye Comfort Shield mode automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day. Besides, it also enables users to remove the GPS data that reveals the location of photos before you share them. Lastly, the compatible Galaxy Buds can switch between your Galaxy phone and tablet running on One UI 3.1 seamlessly.

Alongside the One UI 3.1, the new software also brings improvements to the system security of the Galaxy Note 20, S20, and Z Fold 2 models by installing the February 2021 security patch. According to AT&T support pages, these firmware update weighs over 1.5GB so it is suggested that users should download over a Wi-Fi connection.

If the update hasn’t arrived on your device via OTA then you can also try and check for the update manually through Settings > Software updates > then click on Download and install.
