March 2021 security update rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Back in February 2021, Samsung released the March 2021 security patch for the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 series. The update also included the latest One version of One UI, the One UI 3.1 which comes with several new features and improvements.

So far, several Galaxy devices have received the latest security patches while the South Korean tech giant continuously sending new security improvements to the scheduled smartphones and tablets.

Now, the second-gen foldable phone – Galaxy Z Fold 2 is joining the list of Galaxy models that have updated to the March 2021 security patch. Users can identify the new security update via release number F9160ZCS1DUC1 that brings fixes for 4 critical and 26 high levels of CVEs.

Apart from this, several Galaxy phones and tablets have got the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update including the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The One UI 3.1 is an upgraded version of the 3.0 iteration of the One UI which brings new and smart features from the Galaxy S21 series to the older flagships.

Coming back, like every time, Samsung is currently sending this update to only select Galaxy Z Fold 2 users. It is likely to expand in the coming days and/or weeks. Till then, you can check for the updates manually by navigating to device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
