After introducing the latest version of One UI – One UI 3.1 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021, Samsung delivered this update for the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ tablets globally. On February 18, the company announced that it will send the One UI 3.1 update for several Galaxy flagships and mid-rangers.

So far, several Galaxy flagships including the Galaxy S20, Note 20, Fold 2/Flip have received the One UI 3.1 features over-the-air. And today (February 25, 2021), the Korean tech has initially released the One UI 3.1 changes for the Galaxy Note 10 phones in Germany.

Along with the One UI 3.1, the Galaxy Note 10 also gets the March 2021 security patch. It makes the Galaxy Note 10 the first to collect the latest security update ahead of three days of the next month. On the other hand, Samsung is rapidly working to send the Android 11 update to its several eligible devices within the first half of this year.

Apart from the major/feature updates, Samsung also rolls out new security patches, bug fixes, system improvements, and new features for its different smartphones, tablets, and smart wearables every month.

Samsung Galaxy devices getting November 2024 updates. One UI 7 Beta remains a hot topic of discussion, due to later this year’s release. The company is ensuring the OS security on Galaxy devices with the November SMR.

November 2024 updates have been rolling out to Samsung devices sequentially. To be noted, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE was the first device to receive the OTA. Interestingly, the rollout was kicked off in the last week of October 2024.

Samsung is continuously expanding the November 2024 security patch. The latest software update brings fixes for 52 vulnerabilities for Android on Galaxy. One UI also getting fixes for plenty of vulnerabilities identified in the previous months.

Over the next few days, the remaining Galaxy devices will also update to the latest patches. You may experience enhanced performance, smoother functioning, and reliable system animations and transitions given various bug fixes.

Samsung has a wide range of Galaxy devices, which keep updating regularly. Flagship phones remain the priority, but mid-range and affordable models also grab the latest software updates as per their schedule and eligibility.

November 2024 Updates

November 16:

Verizon released the latest security firmware to Samsung’s S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra in the US. The version numbers are as follows:

November 15:

Samsung starts updating the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy A35 5G (AXK1) with November’s patch, bringing fixes for 52 bugs and vulnerabilities.

November 14:

Samsung could launch AI Game Assist feature with One UI 7

One UI 7 could bring an AI Game Assist feature to Samsung devices. The company apparently working on an AI-powered Game Mode. The feature aims to bring significant improvements to Galaxy’s gaming capabilities.

Samsung Game Assist will allow users to create a more enjoyable gameplay experience with AI-powered game assistants. Tipster Jukanlosreve suggests that Game Assist could feature frame interpolation and upscaling using Qualcomm’s AFME 2.0.

AFME refers to Adreno Frame Motion Engine; which is a part of Qualcomm’s suite of graphics and performance enhancements. AFME 2.0 features increased frame rate, frame duplication, power efficiency, enhanced gaming, and improved graphics rendering.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Galaxy S25 series is anticipated to use Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. If Qualcomm’s tech is being used, it will be available on Snapdragon-powered variants exclusively.

Samsung One UI 7 Galaxy AI Game Assist

The Game Assist is currently under development, while a release timeframe is uncertain. Being an AI feature, the Game Assist could launch with One UI 7.1 next year. It will join other assistants such as Chat Assist, Browsing Assist, and Note Assist.

Using the upcoming Game Assist feature, Samsung smartphone users will have high performance without sacrificing battery life. Key aspects to be improved are smoother gameplay, reduced lag, and better battery life.

Samsung One UI 7 Beta Makes Major Progress Ahead of Release

Samsung is gearing up to launch the first public beta update for its highly anticipated One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series. The fresh testing versions for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra spotted on Samsung’s server hint at the end of a long wait for users eager to test out One UI 7 features.

According to the tipster, the first beta build was first found for the Galaxy S24 Ultra in India and Europe. Now, it’s also been spotted in six of the seven eligible countries where Samsung will offer the beta.

These countries include the US, UK, Germany, Poland, India, and South Korea. However, China is not yet included, though it is expected to join soon.

Samsung One UI 7 Beta

Usually, Samsung rolls out beta programs in phases. The first phase mainly includes markets like Germany, South Korea, and the US, with other countries joining in the second phase. Although Samsung has followed this pattern in the past, there’s hope that the company may release the beta update in all eligible markets together.

After that, Samsung will also add more devices to the beta program. We expect most of the flagship Galaxy devices from 2023 and 2024 to be eligible. If you own one of these devices, you’ll need to sign up through the Samsung Members app to join the beta.

Based on Android 15, One UI 7.0 will bring improvements to the interface, new features, and better performance. While the full update won’t be available immediately, beta testers will get an early look at what’s new coming. Samsung will release a stable version with the Galaxy S25 series launch next year.
