Last month, Samsung introduced its second-generation 50MP ISOCELL GN2 image sensor with large 1.4-micrometer (μm)-sized pixels. This new camera sensor offers up to 100-megapixel imaging, powerful staggered HDR, improved auto-focusing through Dual Pixel Pro technology, and vivid results through Smart ISO Pro.

According to the latest information, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will become the world’s first smartphone equipped with Samsung ISOCELL GN2 CMOS, with a 1/1.12″ inch ultra-outsole. Moreover, the Chinese phone maker said that each pixel of 50MP reaches 1.4μm, which is an unprecedented 2.8μm after fusion.

However, Xiaomi will hold its next launch conference on March 29 where it will unveil its new Mi 11 series flagships including the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. Ahead of the event, the company officially explained the imaging system of the Mi 11 Ultra with “revisiting the boundary of the dark night” which suggests, it should have an impressive night imaging effect.

In terms of camera capabilities, Mi 11 Ultra equips a triple rear camera setup including a combination of dual main cameras + periscope lens. Just for remind, it will be the first handset to debut with the world’s largest Samsung ISOCELL GN2 image sensor and support up to 120x zoom shooting.
