Samsung is preparing to relaunch the Galaxy S20 FE, as a new device with model number SM-G780G has recently approved by Thailand’s NBTC certification site.

According to the NBTC certificate, the Galaxy S20 FE will support only 4G networks alongside GSM/WCDMA/LTE connectivity. As rumored previously, this smartphone will be available in both single and dual SIM options.

However, this affordable variant of the Galaxy S20 flagships is available in both 4G and 5G variants but it looks like the company will unveil a newer version in select markets.

It is worth mentioning that the currently available S20 FE phones carriers model numbers: SM-G780F and SM-G781B for 4G and 5G versions respectively, while the newer handset bears a model number SM-G780G.

Previously, it was reported that the Korean tech giant will launch the new Galaxy S20 FE with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box.

Then, as per the company’s update policy, it will get at least three major Android OS upgrades until Android 14. On the other hand, the current variants will get Android updates up to Android 13.

As of now, there no more information available regarding this new Galaxy S20 FE smartphone. Meanwhile, it is unclear when will Samsung launch this device, but some hardware changes are expected compared to the original model.
