By taking a look at the certifications of some newly launched smart TVs, it looks like Samsung’s next 8K TV will become the first smart TV that supports Wi-Fi 6E. It was also reported that this premium smart TV will equip MediaTek’s wireless modem to deliver connections in three different frequency bands.

Wi-Fi 6E is an enhanced version of Wi-Fi 6, which extends to the 6GHz frequency band. This latest tech can take advantage of 6GHz capabilities to support high-bandwidth applications that require faster data during high-definition video streaming and virtual reality, and low-latency connections for online gaming applications.

It adopts Quantum Dot Matrix Technology Pro and uses backlight dimming technology to control Samsung Quantum Dot MiniLED, which expands the bright area by 1.5x compared with conventional quantum dot matrix technology.
