Samsung 2021 Neo QLED models are the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E certified TVs
On March 30, 2021, Samsung announced that 2021 Neo QLED 8K TV models (QN900A, QN800A) have obtained the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA).
Wi-Fi 6E is a new standard in connected technology, which delivers Neo QLED 8K TV owners not only four times faster connectivity, but also stable and reliable data transfers even when multiple devices are connected to one router for immersive high-definition content.
The newly certified Wi-Fi 6E technology is designed to use a 6GHz frequency in combination with the existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.
Now, select Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs can support larger bandwidth loads, faster gigabit data processing, low latency and provide reliable and secure connections.
Besides, given the breadth and depth of use cases of this technology in today’s and upcoming applications, Wi-Fi 6E technology will be further applied to existing and future TV product portfolios.
As TVs and mobile devices continue to develop into consumer connectivity hubs in various lifestyles, the demand for processing high data capacity is also increasing.
Whether streaming 4K and 8K high-definition video or enjoying VR content and high-performance games, Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs with Wi-Fi 6E support are suitable for consumers who want to enjoy a high-quality viewing experience at home.
Younghun Choi, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics said – “As the global leader in the TV industry, Samsung is proud to have achieved the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E certification on our TVs. With a growing set of immersive content experiences and features across the home, the certification provides Neo QLED 8K TV owners with even better access to the things they love to do.”
