New Samsung Galaxy Note 20 update installs Russian programs due to local govt’ order
The Galaxy Note 20 is the latest Note lineup, which will remain newer for an additional year as Samsung decided to not launch new Galaxy Note phones this year. This series includes two premium models including Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra that came pre-packed with Android 10-based One UI 2.5 and currently running the One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.
Now, as per the official info, the South Korean tech titan released a new software update to the Galaxy Note 20 series devices in Russia. However, every new software brings system improvements, new features, security patches, etc. while this update adds restrictions in order to implement the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to the info, as part of the implementation of the requirements of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1867 dated 18/11/2020, the download of mandatory applications has been added.

Aside from this, the new Galaxy Note 20 firmware update installs the March 2021 security patch for better device protection. And it also fixes some bugs, brings improvements to the system functions and performance for a better overall user experience.

- Go to Settings
- Click on the Software updates menu
- And hit, Download and install.
