Back in 2019, Samsung launched a new Galaxy A80 smartphone, which is known for its unique pop-up rotating camera setup that can capture shots of both rear and front sides. However, the company has not introduced its successor, the Galaxy A81 last year.

It was reported that the company is preparing to unveil the Galaxy A82 device in the near future, which will be the successor to the Galaxy A80. Moreover, it could be called the Galaxy A Quantum 2 in South Korea. And now, a piece of new information surfaced online that reveals some of its key specs, design, and hardware capabilities.

According to the info, the alleged Galaxy A82/A Quantum 2 gets listed on Google Play Console. The listing shows that this handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ processor with 6GB of RAM. Talking about software, the Galaxy A82 runs Android 11-based One UI 3.x.

Aside from this, the design of the Galaxy A82 looks no longer unique as it has a punch-hole display for a selfie camera while its predecessor, the Galaxy A80 equipped with a rotating pop-up camera module.

Previously, it was said that the upcoming Galaxy A82 will have a 64MP (IMX686) primary rear camera supplied by Sony. Other than this, we’ve no more information regarding its detailed specs while it is expected to exclusively launch in South Korea with a Quantum Random Number Generator chip for enhanced security.
