Rumors about the release of Samsung‘s foldable tablet have been circulating for several years. And now, new details about the development have become known from a completely reliable source.

According to LetsGoDigital, Samsung has applied for a new patent design that suggests, the company could be planning to bring a foldable Galaxy tablet in the coming months.

The application of this patent was filed at the USPTO (the United States Patent and Trademark Office) which further got approval on February 16, 2021, in the ‘Display Device’ category.

Design details of the latest Patent

The latest patent hints at the design language of the upcoming tablet having no cover screen, nor the front camera, which makes it classic as well as futuristic. Also, the company will go with minimal bezels without any odd camera placing, when it will go for the actual making process.

However, we found that the camera and the flash will be adjusted alongside the recess made at the level of the foldable hinge. So that user will not face any problem while using the tablet in landscape mode.

Talking about the ports and buttons, the new tablet design exposed that the left side will have the on/off switch with a speaker while the right side will take place for the USB-C port including one more speaker.

Lastly, this new patented design is an example of Samsung’s cutting-edge technology and high-level R&D. So, it will be interesting to see if this patent turns out to be an actual tablet by joining the other foldable devices including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and its upcoming successor.
