Since late last year, we’ve encountered a number of early information about Samsung’s first M series 5G smartphone. However, the Galaxy M lineup is quite popular in the Indian market and the company is preparing to bring the Galaxy M42 as an affordable 5G handset in the country.

Ahead of an official announcement, a tipster revealed that the Korean phone maker will announce the Galaxy M42 5G in India at the end of this month. Moreover, the same source also claimed that this device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset, just like the Galaxy A42 5G.

Aside from this, the M42 5G is likely to sport a large sAMOLED display, quad rear camera setup including a 64MP primary lens, 128GB base memory variant, and a massive 6000mAh battery as well.

As mentioned above, the Galaxy M42 5G could be a rebadged variant of the previously launched Galaxy A42 5G. And we can expect this model will feature a 6.6″ HD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage alongside microSD card expansion and pre-installed Android 11-based One UI 3.1.

Recently, the Galaxy M42 5G received the NFC certification, which confirmed that it supports contactless payments. And you should stay tuned with us to get further information on this matter.
