We are quite familiar with the infamous driving mode of Google Assistant. This feature is actually the part of Google Maps, which somehow works like Android Auto but specifically designed to assists the user while driving the vehicle.

Moreover, this app was in development for so long and debuted last year in the US market. Now, we found that this feature is also rolling out for other markets, as per Google’s support page.

Accordingly, Android users from Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, India, and Singapore will be able to use this feature as soon as the rollout reaches the respective regions in the coming days.

How does the Google Assistant driving mode work?

Just like Android Auto, Google Assistant driving mode will allow the user to send and receive calls via voice commands. Moreover, you can also use it to play your favorite music from various streaming services including Youtube music and Spotify.

However, it is only supported to phones running on Android 9 or above while your phone also needs to have at least 4GB of RAM for the smooth feature experience. Also, it is a preview version, so you might face some bugs while using it as a launcher.

Besides, you can get started with the driving mode by simply navigating to a destination with Google Maps and tap on the pop-up to get started.
