Samsung will launch the Galaxy M12 in South Korea on April 28
On March 11, 2021, Samsung launched a new affordable smartphone under its Galaxy M segment called Galaxy M12 in India. This budget phone features a larger display with a higher refresh rate, quad-camera system, matte design on the back, a big battery with fast charging, and much more at a quite affordable price.
Following its launch in India, the M12 gained huge popularity among consumers who wants to get a good smartphone without spending too much money. Now, it looks like the South Korean tech giant is going to expand the availability of this handset to more regions.
According to Samsung South Korea, the Galaxy M12, which focuses on essential functions of smartphones will launch in the country on April 28, 2021.
The Galaxy M12: Specifications
The Galaxy M12 sports a 6.5″ large display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate, enabling you to enjoy a smoother screen when watching videos or scrolling through websites. When it comes to appearance, the Galaxy M12 has a matte rear design with a micro pattern.
On the rear, the M12 features a quad-camera system including a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. This massive camera setup lets users shoot a variety of subjects from portraits to landscapes like a professional. Moreover, it has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
The Korean Galaxy M12 packs a 5000mAh large-capacity battery, down 1000mAh than the Indian variant. The long-lasting battery allows consumers to freely enjoy various functions of a smartphone all day without worrying about charging. Convenience is also improved with 15W fast charging and side fingerprint recognition.
Availability
Samsung will launch the Galaxy M12 as a black online self-contained model. It will go official with a starting price tag of 198000 won and will available to purchase through the Samsung Electronics homepage, 11th Street, Coupang, Gmarket, and other open markets.
Aside from this, the company will provide a two-month free subscription to ‘YouTube Premium’, a premium video streaming service, to customers who purchase ‘Galaxy M12’.

Samsung could pack the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Z Flip 7 with Exynos processors. The company could launch its first affordable foldable phone next year. The device could get a different camera and processor from the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Leaker Jukanlosreve revealed that Samsung could use the Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The former Exynos variant powers the Galaxy S24 FE, while the Exynos 2500 is an upcoming product.
Samsung previously intended to use Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy S25 series. However, the chip has a major performance difference from its Snapdragon counterpart. This led the company to solely rely on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the S25 series.
Exynos 2500 is being manufactured using Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process node. The yield rate is quite low (around 20%), which is far from the production threshold. However, Samsung chose the path to produce the chip at such a low yield rate.
Exynos 2400 has proven to be a decent chip with no frustrating flaws. The Exynos 2400e could be used in the Z Flip FE. The “e” model could be made using IPoP (Integrated Package on Package) tech, which is cheaper than the standard method.
Recently, a Korean media outlet reported that Samsung Foundry has started mass production of a 3nm Exynos 2500 chip. It was initially intended to be used in the S25 and S25 Plus, but issues pushed it towards the second-half debut in the Z Flip 7.
