Samsung is not only rapidly delivering the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 and One UI 3.1 update, but it has already started releasing the May 2021 security patch to its premium devices ahead of next month.

Aside from mobile devices, the South Korean tech giant also rolling out new firmware updates to its wearables, which brings improvements, bug fixes, new features, and more.

A few days ago, Samsung rolled out new s/w updates for the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch. And now, as per the latest info, the Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active 2 begun receiving new firmware over the air, which comes with stability improvements for the messaging app and the Wi-Fi connection.

Identified via release numbers: R820XXU1DUD1 and R500XXU1FUD1 for Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active 2 respectively, this update is initially rolling out in the South Korean market and will soon be available in more regions.

Other than this, the update doesn’t bring new features or major system optimization. If you also owned a Galaxy Watch Active or Galaxy Watch Active 2 then check for the update manually by navigating to Watch software update, and select on Download and install.
