Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 at Verizon gets Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update

Samsung released a major software update to the Galaxy Tab S6 back in March 2021. At the same time, this tablet had upgraded to the Android 11 operating system alongside One UI 3.1 features. Now, the company is expanding this firmware to more countries as it’s now rolling out in the United States.

According to the information, Verizon started upgrading its locked Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 tablets to the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 in the US. This update carries firmware version: T867VVRU4CUD3, and comes with various new features, system optimizations, and more.

The official changelog of this release shows that the Galaxy Tab S6 users getting the latest Android OS 11, with new features including Control Panel, Bubbles, Categorized Notifications, and One UI 3.1. Besides, the April 2021 Android security patch is also included in this update.

On the other hand, One UI 3.1 brings a set of new features such as Eye Comfort Shield, Samsung Free, Object Eraser, Private Share, Buds Auto-Switching, ability to remove the location data of image before sharing, minor UI tweaks, and better system performance, which are not mentioned in the Verizon’s update log.

Check for the latest update manually by heading to your device’s Settings, then click on Software updates, and finally hit on Download and install.
