Samsung Galaxy Book Pro lineup certified for excellent gaming performance
On April 28, 2021, Samsung introduced its new laptops, the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360. These new PCs offer several high-profile features, OLED displays, S Pen support, powerful performance, better connectivity across devices, and much more.
According to the info, Samsung Display has recently announced that the world’s leading certification company SGS certified the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360’s OLED for gaming performance. SDS’s test result revealed that both of these laptops showed a blur length below 1.4mm and the moving picture response time below 15.4ms.
These two standards are crucial to enjoying dynamic and fast-paced action games. At the same time, a laptop featuring an LCD screen with the same specs showed the maximum 2.1mm blur length and the 26.4ms moving picture response time, while it’s HDR contrast ratio, resulted in over 1,000,000:1.
The South Korean display maker pointed out that fast-paced video games that require higher performance often suffer degradations in image quality when played on a display with a long blur length, which could harm the user experience.
“OLED has a very wide range of contrast thus offers a more immersive gaming experience for consumers who favor dynamic, flamboyant games,” said Samsung Display.
Apart from this, Samsung Display’s new OLED panels have also certified for a cinematic experience with its wide color gamut (120% of DCI-P3) and its low-luminance expression capability below 0.0005 nits.
Choi Soon-ho, director at Samsung Display said, “As people spend more time home, laptop has become the go-to device not only for web-surfing and word-processing but also for watching movies and sports game and playing video games. OLED is the very display that could meet consumers’ various needs.”
