Samsung Galaxy A72 May 2021 update brings video call effects, Camera improvements
Launched back in March 2021, the Galaxy A72 is the latest and premium smartphone offering from Samsung, which belongs to the popular Galaxy A series. The company ship this device with the up-to-date software system with One UI 3.1 on the top of the Android 11 operating system.
Unlike the monthly s/w update support for its younger brother, the Galaxy A72 gets new software updates on a quarterly basis. Now, the Korean tech giant started releasing a new firmware update for this handset, which includes the May 2021 security patch and a handful of new features.
Identified via release number A725FXXU2AUE1, this update is currently rolling out in select markets including Russia. If history is any indication, Samsung will not take too much time to bring this software update to the Galaxy A72 owners across the globe.
The changelog shows that the May 2021 update comes with improvements for the Quick Share function to improve file sharing between Galaxy devices. You can now change the background during video calls through select third-party apps such as Zoom, and Google Duo.
