Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will run One UI 3-based Wear OS: Report
Like every year, Samsung is preparing to introduce a new smartwatch lineup that will be entitled the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. These wearables are expected to be launched in the second half alongside the next-generation folding smartphones.
Previously, it is reported that Samsung is all set to ditch the traditional Tizen OS from this year’s smartwatches, after a long break of 7 years. Now, a new report claims that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 will run One UI 3.x-based Wear OS (Google).
Our folks over at SamMobile reported that Samsung could unveil at least three new smartwatches, one of them will have more classic design elements, while the remaining shall include an Active model, with sporty design elements.
Moreover, these new watches have codenamed Wise, Fresh and Lucky, where the Wise features the classic design elements with a rotating bezel ring as well as Fresh and Lucky are the two sporty models.
Galaxy Watch 4 lacks non-invasive blood sugar monitoring
Recently, Korean media reported that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will not feature non-invasive blood sugar monitoring, which was rumored earlier this year.
At the same time, a reliable source found a new plug-in – “water”, which is expected to be the compatibility layer designed by Samsung for Wear OS.
