At the moment, Samsung rolling out the major Android 11-based One UI 3.0 and One UI 3.1 update to its eligible Galaxy phones and tablets. So far, the company upgraded countless Galaxy devices with this latest version while various are still waiting.
Aside from the major s/w updates the South Korean tech giant also rolls out new security patches to every smartphone monthly, quarterly, or biannually, as per their eligibility. Installation of newly arrived security patches is necessary for every smartphone owner as it improves system security.
Starting this year, Samsung announced its revised security update policy, which promises four years of regular updates for every Galaxy device launched since 2019. However, the company offering only two new security patches (a.k.a. “Biannually“) in the extended fourth year.

Although several Galaxy smartphones and tablet owners are yet to receive the April 2021’s security patch Samsung already started releasing the May 2021 security patch to the latest Galaxy S21 series flagships from April 26, 2021, a week ahead of May.
As always, Samsung will release countless s/w updates like Android 11, One UI 3.1, One UI 3.1, security patches, features, bug fixes, system improvements, and more to its innumerable Galaxy smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds.

One UI 7 Beta for Samsung Galaxy S24 is nearly ready
Samsung is gearing up for the next iteration of its custom skin, One UI 7, which is set to debut with the Galaxy S25 series in 2025. A new One UI 7 testing build for the Samsung Galaxy S24 has been spotted on the server. This new build identified as S926NKSU3BXIC, follows the earlier build BXIB. This shows that Samsung is continuously making improvements and adjustments.
Along with the Galaxy S24 series, several Galaxy devices are also internally testing One UI 7. These devices include Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Themes app is getting Android 15-based One UI 7 support. The Korean tech giant is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Themes app with version 6.0.01.7 via Galaxy Store. This update prepares the app for users as they transition to the new software.
The fresh update makes the Samsung Galaxy Themes app compatible with One UI 7 by bringing its support ahead of the official release. Samsung aims to make its stock apps compatible with to upcoming interface so that when that update will be released for the smartphone, the app will not stop working.
The introduction of Android 15 support indicates that Samsung is likely gearing up to release the One UI 7 Beta update soon. This support allows users to continue utilizing their favorite apps without disruption once the new operating system is available.

Based on user feedback, Samsung is now officially highlighting a standard area for selection, which should help save time and make the feature more convenient. According to the community moderator, the company is working to create a flexible menu for Smart Select that changes based on what the user selects.
There are challenges in developing a fixed shortcut interface for automatically offering options such as copying or generating GIFs from text or images. However, Samsung is actively working on solutions that enhance user experiences.
