Samsung One UI 3.5 to feature a new adaptive UI called ‘Split UI’ for Galaxy Z Fold 3
Presently, the One UI 3.1 is the latest software system powered by Android 11 and developed by Samsung. As always, the next version of the One UI will be introduced at the launch event of the company’s next flagship (s), which will be based on the Android 11 operating system.
Although it’s difficult to know the exact features or changes of the next iteration of the One UI, a Samsung insider recently come to light revealing a massive development on the functionalities of the One UI 3.5, which will exclusively come pre-installed with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3.
According to IceUniverse (via AndroidHeadlines), Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could come with a new adaptive UI and the name of this UI could be “Split UI”. The tipster tweeted a set of GIFs, which shows the Split UI in action. The GIFs clearly show that this UI radically adapts an app according to the screen size and orientation.
Apart from this, the alleged One UI 3.5’s Split UI also adjusts as per the device’s orientation – portrait or landscape. You can see all the leaked GIFs below where the first one reveals some sort of clothing app, the second is presenting the YouTube app, or something identical to it, and the third GIF shows Samsung’s ‘Messages’ app.

However, it’s unclear whether these GIFs are leaked or created by a third party, but the source claims that the Split UI is coming with One UI 3.5. If the adaptation of this type of UI gets succeeds, then it will surely fix the issues with Android tablets in order to deliver a better overall user experience even on big-screen devices.
