Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 May 2021 security update reaches the US unlocked units

It’s the 25th day of May 2021 and looks like Samsung will anytime release the June 2021 security patch for any eligible Galaxy device. While the company is regularly sending the April or May security updates to the remaining phones and tablets in different regions.

In a recent development, the US unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 2 units started grabbing a new software update, which comes with the May 2021 security patch and bears PDA release number F916U1UEU1DUDE. Other than the security improvements, there are no new features or changes mentioned in the changelog.

Apart from this, Verizon had recently updated its bounded Galaxy Z Fold 2 units in the US with May 2021 security patch, and Quick Share improvements. Furthermore, Samsung had also patched the Qualcomm 5G modem’s vulnerabilities that affect the privacy of users.

To check for software updates manually, just open device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install>> Install now.
