BREAKING: Samsung Galaxy S21 June 2021 security update has arrived!
Just like every month, Samsung has already started releasing the newest ever security patch to the Galaxy devices. In late April, the company’s latest flagship smartphone had received the May 2021 security patch, and this session remains unchanged this month as well.
According to the latest information, the Galaxy S21 series begun grabbing a new software update in South Korea. The changelog of this update clearly shows that this OTA includes the June 2021 security patch. This update comes with a package size of over 400MB, so it’s suggested that download it over an unmetered connection or Wi-Fi.
Back-to-back iconic software releases show how the stock Android (Google) is still busy developing new software for Pixel smartphones, while Samsung is impressively boosting its software development segment. It’s worth mentioning that the company has not yet detailed the June patch, but it’s expected in the first week of the next month.
Identified via release numbers: G991NKSU3AUE8, G996NKSU3AUE8, and G998NKSU3AUE8 for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, the latest firmware is initially spotted in South Korea, but expected to reach other countries and regions in the coming days.
You can check for s/w updates manually by heading towards the device Settings, select Software updates, and tap on Download and install.
