Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite May 2021 update brings new S Pen to text, Quick Share features

Back in March 2021, Samsung updated the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite to the Android 11-based One UI version 3.1. However, it was not a full-fledged update as the tablet had not received some iconic features that are the highlight of the company’s latest software system.

According to our information, the South Korean tech giant has started to roll out a new software update to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite devices in several European countries such as Germany, Switzerland, and Romania. This update comes with the latest May 2021 security patch for better device security.

Apart from this, the changelog of this OTA shows that the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite update brings a powerful S Pen function called “S Pen to text” that lets you directly input text to the input field with S Pen handwriting. Moreover, it also includes a new camera feature – Auto framing, which will be found after installing this release.

Lastly, Quick Share, which was introduced alongside the One UI 3.1 and Galaxy S21 series, was not included with the Android 11 update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. However, the owners of this tablet will now easily share files across Galaxy devices as it adds the Quick Share feature.

However, this update is currently rolling out in select countries and the company may expand its reach to more countries in the coming days.
