Snapdragon 888 Pro could power future flagships, performance exposed!

Launched later last year, Snapdragon 888 is the latest flagship chipset offering from Qualcomm for mobile phones. Debuted along with Xiaomi Mi 11, this processor powers most of the flagship smartphones of this year including the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, OnePlus 9, Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra, and so on.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Qualcomm will launch the Snapdragon 888 Pro processor in the second half of this year as a new product entitled “Qualcomm Lahaina” appeared on the Geekbench running sub-site, which may be the testing device that was equipped with the Snapdragon 888 Pro.

At the same time, a Weibo tipster claimed that a new 3.0Ghz Snapdragon 888 version has been released recently, although the X1 super core has been increased to 3.0Ghz from 2.84Ghz. Well, other core frequencies remain unchanged, while the GPU frequency is unknown, which depends on the performance score.

Amongst the Snapdragon 888 Pro chipset’s single-core running score was 1171 points, while the multi-core running score was 3704 points. It’s worth mentioning that the current version of Snapdragon 888 scored 1138 points and 3603 pints in single and multi-core tests respectively.

The super-large core Cortex-X1’s frequency is 2.84GHz, 3×2.4GHz A78 core, and 4×1.8 GHz A55 core. It equips Adreno 660 GPU and X60 5G baseband with a maximum bandwidth of 7.5Gbps.
