Samsung Display rival BOE showcases ‘Slidable AMOLED’ without creases in action!

Last month, Samsung unveiled new innovative displays including an Under Panel Camera, a 17-inch folding screen, S-foldable, and a slidable display smartphone concept. These futuristic displays will surely debut with Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the near future.

Aside from this, Samsung’s rival BOE, a Chinese display maker, has recently showcased its first slidable/rollable AMOLED display, not just in concept like the former, but in action. According to Chinese media ITHome, BOE showed off a series of cutting-edge display technology products during the ICDT 2021 event.

From May 31st to June 2nd, the 2021 International Display Technology Conference set to hold in Beijing, China. At the event, Chinese display maker unveiled the first slidable AMOLED screen that has an outer curvature radius of only 4mm and a dynamic scrolling frequency of 200,000 times.

This slidable AMOLED can be freely converted between mobile phones and tablets by sliding in and out, also it has no creases. However, Samsung Display is the leader as well as a reputed brand in the industry, but BOE is also expanding its presence in the market as its products cost lesser than the former brand.

Aside from this, BOE has also introduced a new mini-vehicle head-up display that has been reduced by over 3/4 compared to the conventional head-up display system. This display module uses high-brightness Micro OLED technology and micro-projection optical technology, with a brightness of 10,000 nits.
