Samsung has finally started rolling out the second and last major software update to one of its popular budget devices. With this release, the Galaxy A30s become the latest Samsung device to get the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update.

As predicted, the Korean tech giant has initially pushed the Galaxy A30s Android 11 update in the Russian market, which carries PDA firmware version A307FNXXU2CUF2. Alongside all the bells and whistles of the One UI 3.1, this update also brings a new May 2021 security patch.

It’s worth mentioning that the Android 11 is the last major upgrade for the Galaxy A30s devices as it was launched back in 2018 with Android 9 on top of One UI 1.x out of the box. In addition, the A30s could not receive the upcoming One UI version 3.5.

Back in September 2020, Google launched the stable Android 11 version, which comes with several new features and major system optimizations when it comes through software updates. Some major changes include Control Panel, Bubbles, Categorized Notifications, better privacy control, and notification history.

Aside from this, the Android 11 update also includes Samsung One UI 3.1 that brings a number of new features including Eye Comfort Shield, Samsung Free, Object Eraser, Private Share, Buds Auto-Switching, ability to remove the location data of images before sharing, minor UI tweaks, and better system performance.

How to check for updates manually?

Check for the latest update manually by going to your device’s Settings, then click on Software updates, and finally hit on Download and install.
