Editor’s Pick: Opinion: My Samsung Galaxy S9 deserves Android 11/One UI 3 upgrade

Well, the Galaxy S9 is one of the most popular smartphone lineup offerings from Samsung. Launched back in 2018, these devices ship with Android 8-based Samsung Experience UX. Later on, the company delivered two major Android OS upgrades up to Android 10-based One UI 2.5.

Last August, Samsung announced its revised Android OS upgrade policy, which confirms at least three major updates for all the flagship Galaxy devices, including select mid-rangers. However, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 were not listed on the company’s 3 Android update guarantee.

Coming back, you can now check for the updates manually by navigating to your device’s Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
