Last month, it is reported that Samsung is working on a new Galaxy F phone that will be equipped with 5G network connectivity support. The device could be called the Galaxy F42 5G as it was spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance database with model number SM-E426B.

After WFA approval, the handset with the same model number has been completed the Bluetooth SIG certification, which confirms the upcoming Galaxy F42 5G features Bluetooth 5.0 tech. However, the Wi-Fi Alliance revealed that it supports Wi-Fi 5 for enhanced connectivity.

It is important to mention that the Galaxy F42 5G seems to be a rebadged version of the recently introduced Galaxy A22 5G smartphone. Meanwhile, the Bluetooth SIG certification shows the company is also working on two more rebranded variants called Galaxy Buddy (SM-A226L) and Galaxy Wide 5 (SM-E426S).

Other than this, the Bluetooth SIG listing didn’t suggest further specifications of design aspects of these upcoming Galaxy devices. Nevertheless, the Galaxy F42 5G is expected to feature a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

On the back, it could be equipped with a triple camera system, which consists of 48MP+5MP+2MP, plus an 8MP camera on the front. On the right side, it could have a fingerprint sensor on the power button for biometric authentication.

Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor supported by 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. Additional features combine 5G, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, a USB Type-C port, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 6000mAh battery with 15W charging, Android 11, and more.
