Breaking: Samsung to unveil One UI 4.0 at in-person SDC in October this year

Contact-less AKA virtual practices have become common nowadays as the Covid-19 pandemic still remains all around the globe. Meanwhile, it looks like Samsung is thinking to restart holding in-person events from later this year as the vaccination picks up pace internationally.

According to Yonhap sources, the South Korean tech giant is considering to hold its annual technology conference, commonly known as Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) in October or November this year that was canceled last year due to the Covid-19 concerns.

At the SDC21, the company is expected to introduce the next generation of its custom software system for Galaxy devices, One UI 4.0 based on Google’s Android 12. However, Samsung is reportedly examining to hold an in-person developers conference, but it also considering for online event, the time will decide.

It’s worth mentioning that the SDC was started in 2013. It is an annual event in which thousands of developers, designers, and content creators been invited to discuss future technologies and services. That’s why we can surely expect that Samsung will also unveil its upcoming software versions and technologies.

Nearby Silicon Valley, California, major information technology companies are located and Samsung usually holds SDC events at this place. In the beginning, Samsung only introduced new software techs, but in recent years, it had also shown off innovations in the artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT area.
