Verizon rolls out June 2021 security update for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

Starting this month, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has started getting the June 2021 security update in select European countries such as Germany. Now, the S20 FE devices locked on Verizon carrier begun receiving a new software update in the US.

Verizon support page reveals that the new update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G UW comes with the latest June 2021 security patch for better system security. A few days back, the OEM confirmed that the new security update brings fixes for 47 CVEs from Google and 19 SVEs from Samsung.

As always, the network carrier is rolling out the new Galaxy S20 FE update in a staged manner in order to ensure the stability of this firmware. However, users can identify this update through the PDA build number: G781VSQS3DUE2.

Aside from this, Samsung is expected to introduce the next One UI version, One UI 3.5 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones in August this year. Following this, the company will start providing this minor One UI upgrade to eligible Galaxy phones & tablets as well.

Although the One UI 3.5 will be a new iteration, it will not feature any user interface changes as Samsung reserved major upgrades & additions for the upcoming Android 12-based One UI version 4.0.
