Back in March 2021, Samsung launched its new Galaxy A series mid-range smartphones. Aside from the basic functionalities, the Galaxy A52/A72 comes with a noticeable thing i.e. the Snapchat lenses (a.k.a. filters) in the stock camera application.

Now, it looks like the company has decided to further strengthen its collaboration with the popular social media platform. TheDrum report says that Samsung and Snapchat have joined forces to let users try on the new Galaxy Watch 3 in augmented reality of the back of the app developing wrist-tracking tech.

As result, Snapchat users will be able to try on the Galaxy Watch 3 from their home just because of the innovative wrist-tracking technology, which materializes the timepiece in augmented reality. It can be activated by opening the camera and scanning a proprietary QR code or selecting Samsung manually.

Interested Galaxy Watch 3 purchasers can taste a mix of straps and faceplates from the variety to find the best fit. Furthermore, users will also be able to use the Snapchat app with full-fledged Bitmoji support in order to entirely customize the experience.

If you like your own customized Galaxy Watch 3, a handy “shop” button will redirect you to the Samsung store for a real deal. We can take it as Samsung’s best try to sell the remaining Galaxy Watch 3 units as it’s going to introduce the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 in near future.

Snapchat said, “Snapchat has teamed up with Samsung Electronics UK to launch a wrist-tracking campaign for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, allowing Snapchatters to try on and experience the watch features. This is the first time Samsung has used wrist-tracking technology and it is one of the first brands globally to embrace this feature, which was launched during the Snap Partner Summit in May this year.”
