Verizon updates Samsung Galaxy A50 with June 2021 Android security patch

Later last month, Samsung pushed the new June security patch update to the Galaxy S21 series, followed by Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy A50. So far, the company sent this firmware to various Galaxy devices including phones and tablets, while the rollout still running.

In the latest development, the Verizon bounded Samsung Galaxy A50 smartphone started getting the new Android and One UI patches released in June 2021. You can identify this update through firmware version A505USQUCDUE4.

Aside from this, the new Galaxy A50 update enhances the Quick Share function for easier file sharing across Galaxy devices. Besides, it also improves all the system functions and fixes some unknown bugs in order to deliver a better overall user experience.

A few months ago, the Galaxy A50 had already upgraded the Android 11-based One UI version 3.1, but this device will spend its remaining time on the Android 11 as it’s the last major update. Nevertheless, Samsung will offer more new security updates and could also the One UI 3.5.

You can check for the updates manually by opening your device’s Settings, finding and selecting the Software updates menu, waiting until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.
